Mach-Aire Powder Containment

Powder Containment Booths and Benches are used to control the hazardous emissions of powders, dust or vapours during powder dispensing, drum tipping, product sampling, blend mixing, or bag dispensing, etc., without risk to the operator or environment.

Manufactured from high grade stainless steel or in a combination of stainless steel and epoxy coated mild steel, they comply with the strictest requirements of both UK COSHH (Containment Of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and MCA GMP (Rules & guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Distributors).

Powder Downflow Booths

Downward uni-directional clean air together with excellent containment characteristics allow operators dust exposure levels (OEL's) within the safe working zone, to be well below the 100µg/m³ level.

Booths are supplied in a wide modular range of sizes. Airflow operation can either be recirculatory when handling powdered products, or 'single-pass' (100% once through) when more potent compounds are being handled or when solvent vapours may be present.

Two stage filtration comes as standard with upgrades to safe change (bag in/bag out) systems available when required.

Intrinsically safe EExd controls can also be designed to suit.

Powder Drum Sampling Cabinets

Where there is a need for smaller scale activities of powder weighing and sampling but with the same levels of operator, product and environmental protection as achieved by the larger Booths, our Drum Sampling Cabinet is a solution.

Up to 200 litre Powder Drums can be easily and quickly located within our 1.8M wide free-standing Cabinet. Airflow patterns can either be recirculation format or 'single pass' total exhaust format.
