Mach-Aire is pleased to announce that they have been awarded a contract to design, build and install 11 fume cupboards and 1 LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation unit) at Newcastle University.
Newcastle University is currently undergoing refurbishments of the Bedson Chemistry Building in the main campus, including both their research and teaching laboratories. As part of the refurbishment, Mach-Aire has been appointed by the University to replace their existing fume cupboards.
Mach-Aire will design and build 11 Classic Standard fume cupboards, to meet the University’s specific requirements. The University’s new fume cupboard standard requires that their fume cupboards are designed with glass side panels to provide the students in the teaching laboratories with clear 180° visibility during lectures. Mach-Aire has worked closely with the University to design a solution which meets their high standards, without compromising containment or user safety.
The project will be complete in July 2014.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Newcastle University and provide a high quality bespoke fume cupboard solution which meets their specific requirements.” said Steve Milford, Regional Sales Manager at Mach-Aire.
