Mach-Aire Isolators

Mach-Aire design, manufacture, install and validate a market leading range of Isolators, Glove Boxes and ancillary equipment for Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industries.

They are designed to protect high value products from contamination that would compromise their quality during the dispensing or the manufacturing process. At the same time they can also protect the workforce and surrounding environment from any hazardous micro-organisms, biological or chemically active materials that may be associated with the operation.

A Mach-Aire Isolator is an enclosed controlled environment that physically separates operators from the process by a combination of a physical chamber, high efficiency filtration, transfer devices, bagging systems, docking ports and either robotic or manual manipulation systems.

Pharmacy Isolators

Mach-Aire's new range of ICT and IPP Pharmacy Isolators has benefited from a thorough design review, and with the introduction of many new features, they can further meet the containment and aseptic needs of the Pharmacist. They also continue to meet the requirements of the European Standard BS EN ISO 14644-7: 2004, and follow the guidelines outlined in the publication 'Pharmaceutical Isolators'.

Applications include dispensing of cytotoxics, TPN products and aseptic compounds.

The range is available in either Two Glove or Four Glove formats and with Negative Pressure (ICT range) or Positive Pressure (IPP range) designs, and all operate at extremely low noise levels of <57dBA.

Manufactured using a combination of polished stainless steel, white polyester coated zintec steel and polished clear acrylic, the user friendly ergonomic design is complemented with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system, which gives excellent functionality.

• CCTV allowing the operator to tilt/pan/zoom the camera. The camera would need a controller and monitor in addition to a HDD/DVD recorder if necessary.
• Fully automated pressure decay system.

Pharmaceutical Isolators

Mach-Aire can also supply Isolators for use in the Pharmaceutical Industry with their Containment Isolators and Sterility Test Isolators.

Containment Isolators

For the most demanding of containment applications, each Isolator is precision built with many bespoke design features, such as 316L polished stainless steel chamber, 9mm thick toughened safety glass , PTFE (teflon) gaskets, PP, HDPE and phenolic resin glove ports and service ports, safe change HEPA filtration, hypalon gloves and gauntlets etc.

The electrical and mechanical services available as an integral part of the Isolator are equally robust and safe, with 316L stainless steel rapid transfer points (RTP), liquid waste ports complete with tri-clover shut off valves, solid waste ports etc.

Sterility Testing

Mach-Aire produces a range of Two Glove and Four Glove Isolators specially for sterility testing. The Isolators can integrate the Millipore 'Equinox. system, and are designed for the sterility testing of pharmaceutical products with an automatic disinfection system utilising hydrogen peroxide vapour.

The Isolators can be single or double chambered, with interconnecting transfer hatches as standard.

Fabricated from 316L stainless steel, with a smooth internal finish, integral control and alarm system, internal lighting, timed release transfer hatch doors and filtration to Grade 'A'

Portable Isolators

Mach-Aire's IPC Isolators are miniature portable enclosures which will facilitate the preparation of aseptic products outside of normal working hours. The Isolator can be positioned in a clinic, ward, operating theatre etc.

It operates as a 'multi-mode' Isolator allowing the Pharmacist to operate the unit at the touch of a button, as either a Type 1 (positive) Isolator or Type 2 (negative) Isolator and Class 3 (Negative to BS EN ISO 12469:2000) Biological Cabinet (when maybe blood products have to be handled). In addition to the above three operating modes, the Isolator can be 'switched' to operate from its 24 Volt D.C. battery pack, thus allowing the unit to be wheeled or transferred through any department whilst still maintaining its airflows and pressure criteria for up to 2 hours duration.
