Extract Systems

Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)

Overview

Mach-Aire has built, installed and co-ordinated the fume exhaust PVC systems for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).

The Problem

SEPA were looking to move into a office facility in North Lanarkshire to bring together over 300 employees from related disciplines into a single, modern fit for purpose facility with first class laboratory workspace. SEPA is committed to reducing its environmental footprint and as a result the building had to achieve BREEAM Excellent status.

The Solution

Mach-Aire was commissioned by the M&E Services contractor, Vaughan Engineering, to build and install a mixture of VAV and CAV extract systems throughout SEPA’s new facility, to connect to the fume cupboards within the laboratories, including roof mounted fume exhaust fans. All the PVC ducting installed and commissioned on site was in accordance with the current DW154 recommendations.
