Servicing of Fume Cupboards, LEV and Isolator

Mach-Aire has an annual servicing contract with Eisai at their Hatfield site.

The Challenge

Eisai Europe, based in Hatfield UK, one of the world's leading research and development based pharmaceutical companies, was seeking to commission a supplier to service fume cupboards, LEVs and negative pressure pharmaceutical isolators to ensure they continue to comply with the latest British Standards.

The Solution

Mach-Aire was appointed in 2010 to carry out the annual servicing on 56 fume cupboards, which were originally designed and manufactured by Mach-Aire, and 16 LEVs. The contract involves our Service Engineers carrying out face velocity tests and function checks to ensure user protection is not compromised and they continue to perform at an optimum level.

In addition to the fume cupboard contract Mach-Aire also carries out full servicing of a negative pressure powder handling isolator on a 6 monthly basis to ensure the isolator remains fit for purpose and still conforms to the appropriate British Standard, BS EN 14644, and GMP pharmaceutical guidelines.

Mach-Aire also offers a call out service to Eisai in the event of a breakdown, repairs and spares and consumables to reduce downtime at the manufacturing site.
